Ayia
Napa beaches are famous arround the world and have chrystal clear water. The water here is the only one with a "Blue flag" in Europe. All beaches have Restaurants and Watersports.
|
| Ayia Thekla |
Ayia Thekla is situated approximately 6km west of Ayia Napa. Even during the busy period of the summer Ayia Thekla is not a well-visited beach. The beach is named after a church which lies nearby. The beach has no facilities but a small refreshment shop. |
| Macronissos |
Macronoissos is by many considered the most beautiful beach in Ayia Napa. The beach appeals both to young people and families. Macronissos beach is the setting of MTV’s famous show ’MTV Grind’. Macronissos can be found 4km outside of Ayia Napa. |
| Golden Beach |
One of Ayia Napa’s smaller beaches. But that doesn’t stop the sand from being golden. |
| Nissi Beach |
The most renowned beach in Ayia Napa is Nissi Beach and it is by far the most popular beach among the younger tourists. ‘Nissi’ is Greek and can be translated to ‘Small Island’. The beach has been given the name due to the small island just next to the beach and it can be reached simply by walking through the water.
The beach is also suitable for children since the small island prevents the big waves to reach the shore. |
| Sandy Bay |
Sandy bay is situtated only 400m from Nissi Beach. This beach is mainly visited by families. It is known for its warm temperature even during the early part of the summer. |
| Grecian Bay |
This beach can be found at the harbor just outside central Ayia Napa.
If you walk along Grecian bay in a eastern direction towards Protaras, three small beaches will appear.
If you’re a big fan of snorkeling this is the place for you. The rocky, uneven sea bottoms are suited perfectly for this type of activity. |
